- Fall is the Season of Love – Due to higher testosterone levels in the winter months, sex drive increases and people are more likely to get into a relationship
- Smarter babies – Statistically, students are more likely to excel in school if they were born in the autumn months (according to the UK Department of Education)
- Autumn is a moneymaker – The New England states earn more than $3 billion from “leaf peeping”, the practice of watching leaves change color
- The pumpkin is part of the fruit and squash family
- The world’s largest pumpkin weighs 2,624 lbs; that’s almost as heavy as a car!
- Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups is the most popular Halloween candy
- IT is the highest grossing Halloween film
- Sugar skull decorative skulls symbolize the passing of dead relatives (the vivid colors symbolize life)
- “Thriller” is the most streamed Halloween song on Spotify
- According to Greek mythology, autumn is the time when the god of the underworld, Hades, abducted Persephone; in retaliation, Demeter, Persephone’s mother, vowed to kill all the crops until she was returned
