When’s the last time that you and your dad got away from the constant winter routine of the house? Don’t you miss those days of just taking a break and having some carefree guy time? If you do, then engaging in the exhilarating annual Father-Son Basketball Social is your best getaway.
Taking place on February 12th at 6pm in Rade Hall, the Fathers Club will be hosting a delicious Lenten meal featuring slider fish sandwiches, mac and cheese, spring salad, Malley’s ice cream, soda, and water.
Following the meal will be the highlight of the night. At 7:30 p.m., the varsity basketball team will be playing Cleveland Heights in the Father Sullivan Gym. If the wonderful meal isn’t a good enough reason to share in the fun, then you can cheer on your fellow basketball cats who are approaching the beginning of the much-anticipated post season. Seating is covered with the cost of the meal and will be reserved.
But if you are still hesitant to join in the enjoyable evening, there is more; the Fathers Club are additionally holding a drawing for two prized treasures. These include an autographed basketball by former Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player and Varsity Assistant Coach Z (Zydrunas Ilgauskas) and a basketball signed by our very own varsity basketball team.
In addition to all the benefits of attending, it also comes at a very reasonable price; ticket prices are $8 each, or, if you are with your family of four people or more, a bargain of $22 for the whole family.
Please register online by February 10th at www.ignatius.edu/BasketballSocial. For further information or if financial assistance is needed, please contact M.J. Kyle at [email protected] or (216)-651-0222, ext. 219.
Don’t miss out on the fun of this exciting yearly event!
