The golf team finished in second place in the state golf tournament on October 22-23, 2010. After a disappointing round on Friday, they stormed back to shoot a state record 302. They were led by the blistering rounds of 72 from Junior Beau Titsworth and 74 from Junior Matt Gerard. Senior Anthony Maroon shot 77. Junior Christian Wagner and Senior Connor McCafferty both shot 80. This score of 302 was a record one day total in this history of the state golf finals.
Beau Titsworth’s efforts at states gained him a runner-up individual medal and first team all state. His two-day score of 147 is the lowest in Ignatius golf history. Matt Gerard’s score of 154 is the third lowest in Ignatius history and earned him second team all state.
Their season record was 224 -7.
